Brendan Rodgers Leicester City vs Man United

Leicester City have been on a roll this season in the Premier League and next up they take on Everton at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

The Foxes have found a gear under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers and right now they find themselves in the 2nd spot just eight points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Leicester City have lost just one game out of their last six league matches but their clash against Everton could very easily force them to drop points.

The Toffees have made a really poor start to the new campaign and will be itching to get back into the top half of the table meaning they could very well come out all guns blazing on Sunday.

Leicester City team news vs Everton:

Brendan Rodgers has more or less a fit squad to choose from and right now his only injury concern is Matty James.

Jonny Evans picked up some cramp during the team’s last match but the centre-back should be fit to start alongside Soyuncu on Sunday.

Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell will keep their place as either full-back while Ndidi plays in the central midfielder’s role.

Tielemans and James Maddison have formed a formidable partnership in midfield and the pair will once again be deployed right behind the striker with the latter playing in a more advanced role.

Rodgers has chosen to play with a midfield five this season and the same will be the case on Sunday vs Everton as Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez will start as the left and the right-sided midfielders respectively.

On paper, Jamie Vardy will play as the lone man upfront but both Barnes and Perez will join in on attack at every opportunity they get.

Leicester City have managed to keep clean sheets in their last five league matches meaning Everton will have to work extra hard if they wish to break past the Foxes defence on Sunday.

Leicester’s predicted XI vs Everton:

Possible starting XI: Schmeichel; Chilwell, Soyuncu, Jonny Evans, Pereira; Ndidi, Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Tielemans, Ayoze Perez; Jamie Vardy.
