Jose Mourinho Tottenham take on Chelsea

Manchester United have beaten Fulham 3-0 in the Premier League this weekend meaning the Red Devils have now entered the top four.

And this is the first time that Man United have gotten amongst the top four since the opening week of the season.

Paul Pogba scored a brace while Anthony Martial sandwiched a goal in between as Solskjaer made a string of changes keeping PSG in mind.

The likes of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard were on the bench for the whole duration of the game while Paul Pogba was taken off as soon as the Red Devils secured the three points.

And with this win, Man United are yet to lose a game under Solskjaer reign and Gary Lineker found this important enough to poke fun at Jose Mourinho.

Late last year, the former Man United boss had wished to see his team in the top four in 2019.

Mourinho had said“I know it’s a big gap but I also know until the end of December if I’m not wrong we have eight Premier League matches to play, and with eight Premier League matches we are speaking about 24 points.

“24 points for us to fight for, the other ones in the top four to fight too, but I believe we are going to be there.”

And this exactly what has happened – thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer though.

So Gary Lineker took to Twitter to claim that Jose Mourinho had made an apt prediction.

Lineker wrote: “Mourinho was right when he said @ManUtd would be back in the top 4 in the New Year.”

Man United look a totally different side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the caretaker boss will most certainly be the candidate for the next permanent manager if he can take his team past PSG in the Champions League.

Man United will take on PSG at Old Trafford this midweek.
