Liverpool have managed to consolidate their position at the top of the Premier League table after they beat arch-rivals Manchester United at home on Sunday.

The Reds remain the only team in the league who are yet to suffer a defeat this season but with some tough games coming up during the festive period, the fans will not have time to breathe easy.

Liverpool’s next two games are against Wolves and Newcastle United, and they should come out with six easy points from these games.

But they things get a bit tricky as Jurgen Klopp’s men take on Arsenal and Manchester City back-to-back.

And speaking to the press earlier this week, Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his team still have a lot of work to do before they can call themselves the best in England.

“So far we were not that successful, we’re not serial winners,” Jurgen Klopp told a media conference(as reported by Four Four Two).

“We’ve learned over the months we have a good football team. At this moment there’s no reason we can’t be successful. We will try everything.

“You have to be consistent. I would say we are always motivated at the highest level. We are concentrating on our situation. Everyone is so close, you can’t just think about one opponent, this season looks completely different.

“It’s absolutely okay what we have done so far, but it is a long time until May.”

Liverpool will be hoping that Manchester City drop points before they face off against each other at the start of the new year so that, they can go into the Etihad with a bit of confidence.
