Liverpool look to be one step closer to signing Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.

This after the player has informed his current club about his desires to join the Reds. Former Guinea International Titi Camara took to Twiiter to make the announcement.

He wrote, “From what I’m led to believe naby has his heart set on #lfc move. Leipzig have been informed of his intent and are looking for replacement”

Leipzig initally had no intentions of selling the midfielder having secured Champions League football for the first time. That is why they had initially set a price tag £70 million just to stop Liverpool from sniffing around.

But now this decision made by Keita, if it turns out to be true, has given renewed hopes to the Liverpool fans. The Reds were intially ready to offer somewhere around the region of £50 million for the player. But now with Keita himself wanting to leave, Leipzig might have no other option but to take the money and let the player go.

And to add fuel to the fire, RB Leipzig have decided not to include Naby Keita is their latest kit launch video. Leipzig launched a new video on Twitter on the occasion of their new kit. And the video does not feature Keita in it. It did seem a bit strange to a lot of people given the fact that the Guinean was one of the better players for Leipzig last season.

Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be a long time admirer of the 22-year-old. And the German coach believes that the Guinean will be a fine addition to his midfield.
