Liverpool take on Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend and as things stand Jurgen Klopp is set to receive a couple of major injury boosts.

Right now, the Anfield outfit have a series of injury concerns with the likes of Fabinho, Lovren, Naby Keita and a handful more on the sidelines with injuries.

Now though there have been reports that midfielder Fabinho along with defenders Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren could be fit in time to take on Manchester United on Sunday.

And when Jurgen Klopp was asked this question in the press conference, here’s what the German had to say.

“I wait really until they are on the pitch and somebody tells me they are allowed to do the full session,” the boss told Liverpoolfc.com.

“It looks like Joel will be in, it looks like Fabinho will be in maybe a day later, I’m not sure. Dejan, maybe he can be in as well.

“That means a lot and helps massively of course. But we will see how it looks. The week is very important.

“The game on Sunday against United, we all know what people expect from us from that game. It will be a big one as well and we try to be ready for that.”

Verdict:

Dejan Lovren has returned back to full training and it’s the same update for Joel Matip but we do not think the manager will risk using either one of them this weekend vs Man United.

Joe Gomez and Van Dijk have done a great job in central defence so there is no need to reshuffle the pack and risk losing the momentum during such a high-profile encounter.

But with the injuries to Naby Keita and recently to James Milner, the Liverpool manager might try and squeeze in Fabinho after the Brazilian has gone through a late fitness test.

While we don’t see him starting the match but he could come on as a replacement if Liverpool can manage to wrap up the match soon each enough.
