Liverpool’s current deal with kit manufacturer New Balance expires at the end of the 2019/20.
And the club had confirmed earlier this week that this season’s home kit has been the most successful kit in the club’s history.
A statement on the club’s website read: “Due to significant demand for our home kit, we are currently out of stock of many of our home kit items. The 18/19 kits have been the most successful in our history.
“In order to meet this demand, we have placed a further reorder of home shirts and we’re working hard to ensure supporters are able to purchase as soon as possible.
“Supporters will be notified as soon as the kit is available to pre-order in mid-February.”
Since this statement was released, reports have claimed that Liverpool are in talks with New Balance over a new deal which could be in the vicinity of £75 million-a-year.
And if this deal does go through then it will be a significant jump over the current £45-million-a-year.
But now Liverpool’s managing director Billy Hogan has revealed that New Balance aren’t the only company that the Reds are holding talks with.
“We are in conversation with New Balance and we are in conversation with others as well,” he told The Drum.
“(The kit deal) is an incredibly important partnership – not just for the financial support it delivers for the club but also from the distribution standpoint.”
If Liverpool were to end their deal with New Balance at the end of the 2019/20 season then it will bring an end to an eight-year partnership with the American company.
While New Balance has been the kit sponsor for Liverpool since 2015, Warrior had the same role since 2012 which is an affiliate company of New Balance.
