Liverpool is undefeated in their previous 15 Premier League matches, and they hope to maintain this streak when they head to London to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Manchester City is five points behind the Anfield outfit, but they have played one game less and that’s why Liverpool cannot afford to slip up against the Gunners, no matter what. A loss on Sunday would bring both MCFC and Arsenal within touching distance.

Arsenal has bounced back after a series of disappointing results, but Liverpool is clearly the frontrunner for Sunday’s match, scoring 16 goals in their last five games. They took the field in midweek when Chelsea came to Merseyside and Klopp’s side thumped four past the Blues.

With this being Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield, his players are motivated to bid him the perfect farewell by clinching the EPL trophy. However, achieving this goal requires the Reds to avoid any unnecessary dropped points.

Liverpool’s team news and injuries:

Liverpool is without Joel Matip, Bajcetic, Thiago and Tsimikas who are all out with long-term injuries and even Mo Salah is going to miss out.

Salah’s Egypt has been knocked out of the AFCON but the right-winger is recovering from a thigh injury. Jota played on the right-hand side during the 4-1 win over Chelsea and will hold onto that position on Sunday as well.

Conor Bradley put up a man-of-the-match performance as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement and he was in line to start once again. However, Liverpool has just informed that the youngster’s father has passed away which means he is not likely to play against Arsenal.

Bradley’s absence opens the door for TAA to return to the side, and there’s even a possibility of Andy Robertson pushing for a starting spot. Although Robertson played around 20 minutes as a substitute in the midweek match, Joe Gomez has done really well out on the left so Klopp could very well rely on him as well.

Darwin Nunez sustained a foot injury in midweek so he will be assessed ahead of Sunday. Nunez did participate in Liverpool’s training session on Friday afternoon indicating he has a decent chance of playing against Liverpool.

Liverpool predicted line up vs Arsenal:

Predicted Starting XI(4-3-3): Alisson; Trent, Konate, Van Dijk, Joe Gomez/Robertson; Szoboszlai, Allister, Curtis Jones; Diogo Jota, Nunez, Luis Diaz.
