Liverpool have been on a fine run this season in the Premier League dropping just two points out of their first 13 matches. And next up they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield on Saturday.

Brighton have made a pretty decent start to this campaign but are winless in their last two league matches and since they take on Jurgen Klopp’s men at home, we doubt whether the Seagulls will be able to get anything out of this particular game.

While the Reds have managed to pick up wins in the league but they have failed to deliver solid performances in their last two outings.

Versus Crystal Palace, they managed to win the match 2-1 but it was not a totally dominating performance from the Anfield outfit and in midweek they were held to a 1-1 draw vs Napoli in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp will be itching to give some of his players a much-deserved rest but with the likes of Leicester and Man City keeping pace with them, we doubt if the German can actually risk benching some of his regulars.

Liverpool team news vs Brighton:

Joel Matip remains a long-term absentee thanks to a knee injury meaning it will be the partnership of Van Dijk and Dejan Lovren who will play in central defence on Saturday.

Andy Robertson did not play for Scotland during the international break but since then has played for Liverpool in both their outings which is hint enough that the left-back has fully recovered from his injury.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was rested in midweek as Joe Gomez played at right-back but the regular feature will return back to his usual place vs Brighton.

Fabinho picked up an ankle injury vs Napoli and was seen leaving Anfield with a protective boot which casts serious doubts over his participation during the weekend.

Naby Keita also remains sidelined with an injury meaning it should be Jordan Henderson who will play in defensive midfield while Chamberlain and Wijnaldum play a bit further upfront.

Mo Salah had been playing with an injury for some time and Klopp would have loved to rest him for this match but we doubt if the manager will take such a bold step despite the fact that Xherdan Shaqiri is now back to full fitness.

This means the front trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah remains the same for the Brighton clash on Saturday.

Liverpool’s predicted line-up vs Brighton:

Starting line-up: Alisson; Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold; Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum; Mo Salah, Mane, Firmino.
