Liverpool receive a triple selection boost before the clash against Spurs

The international break might be a huge prospect for the national team managers to check out new players but there’s no denying that the club managers have their hearts in their mouths.

Players are prone to injuries during the break mainly because a number of games are packed within a span of seven odd days which in turn can seriously affect a club’s momentum in their respective domestic leagues.

And one of the clubs who were seriously worried about player injuries was Premier League side, Liverpool.

Liverpool are currently on top of the league table and right after the international break, Jurgen Klopp’s men will take on Tottenham Hotspur away from home.

The Merseyside outfit will be looking to keep their momentum running and in a bid to do so, Jurgen Klopp has received a huge selection boost.

Klopp already has the likes of Dejan Lovren and Alx Oxlade-Chamberlain out for lengthy periods with injuries and the last thing the manager would have wanted was an injury during the international break.

But not only will the boss have an injury-free squad to select from but a number of his key first-team players will be fit and well rested for the Tottenham clash.

Liverpool had an array of Brazil players who were playing for the national team during the international break and the trio of Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino were expected to play both the games against the USA and El Salvador.

But all these three players did not feature during Brazil’s 5-0 win over Salvador as a matter of fact neither of them came on as a substitute.

While Fabinho is not expected to start against Spurs this Saturday but summer signing Alisson Becker and forward Roberto Firmino are guaranteed starters. So the fact that both of them are well rested before such a big match will be a huge boost to Jurgen Klopp and his plans.

If these players were to play against El Salvador then surely atleast the outfield players would have found it tough to play the full 90 minutes at Wembley but now we can safely say this will not be the case.
