Liverpool kicked-off their Premier League defence with a win against Leeds United last weekend but Jurgen Klopp’s men truly had to sweat it out for all the three points.

Next up, they will hit the road to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Liverpool are undefeated in 35 of their last 38 matches in the Premier League but against Leeds, they had to swallow three goals on home territory. And this will obviously be cause of concern for Jurgen Klopp.

Chelsea undoubtedly have the firepower to trouble Liverpool’s backline but the saving grace for Klopp is the fact that he has a fully fit squad(only one injury) to choose his starting line-up from.

Liverpool’s team news vs Chelsea:

The backline remains unchanged from the first weekend with Robertson and Alexander-Arnold playing as the two full-backs while Van Dijk and Joe Gomez start in defence.

Joel Matip and James Milner will only find a place on the bench.

Fabinho will start in defensive midfield but we suspect he is soon going to become a benchwarmer as Liverpool are reportedly close to signing Thiago from Bayern Munich.

Henderson will also reprise his role from the Leeds game meaning Naby Keita is the one who could drops back to the bench.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is the only Liverpool player who is out with an injury and as of now, there is no possible return date for the midfielder.

Mo Salah scored a hat-trick against Leeds United last weekend and the Egyptian will a guaranteed starter on the right flank meaning Takumi Minamino will once again have to be content with a place on the substitutes bench.

Liverpool will go into this match as the favourites but Leeds United have clearly outlined that the Reds’ strong defence can be easily breached.
