Liverpool have so far dropped just two points in the Premier League and that draw has come at the hands of Manchester United.

And this coming Sunday, Jurgen Klopp’s men welcome their arch-rivals to the Anfield for the return leg.

Liverpool are in cruise control right now and after having beaten Spurs 1-0 last weekend, they have moved one step closer to the Premier League title – an honour which has been eluding them since decades.

Right now, the Anfield outfit are 14 points clear at the top of the table having played one game less meaning they could potentially take an 18 point lead by the end of this weekend. But having said that, Solskjaer’s men have been known to perform exceptionally well against the big sides this season and they have the firepower to disrupt Jurgen Klopp’s party on Sunday.

Liverpool team news vs Man United:

Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip are both ruled out with injuries meaning Joe Gomez and Van Dijk will once again play in central defence.

The full-backs for Liverpool have been a class apart and barring an injury the manager will not even think of resting the pairing of Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

Fabinho has returned back to training but the Brazilian will not be fit in time to play vs Man United meaning Jordan Henderson will once again play as the fulcrum in central midfield.

Minamino remained an unused sub last weekend vs Spurs and we think Klopp will not try and risk him in such a high-profile game meaning Oxlade-Chamberlain will keep his place in the starting line-up.

Naby Keita and James Milner are both ruled out with injuries meaning Wijnaldum will start alongside Henderson and Chamberlain on Sunday.

Sadio Mane was recently awarded the African Player of the Year and the winger will be keen to live up to that title when he takes on Man United this weekend.

Mo Salah will operate down the right flank but there are chances that the Egyptian might not get to play the full 90 minutes since Klopp could try and bring on Xherdan Shaqiri in order to inject some fresh legs into the match.

Roberto Firmino scored the only goal of the match against Spurs last weekend and the Brazilian will start upfront. But like Salah, he too could be taken off and replaced by Divock Origi to freshen things upfront.
