Liverpool are currently top of their group in the Champions League and next up they take on Napoli at home on Wednesday.

The Reds have so far suffered just one defeat in the group stages and that was at the hands of Napoli meaning Klopp’s men would have to be extra careful on Wednesday especially since a win would absolutely guarantee a place in the knockout stages.

Liverpool go into this match with only three injury concerns but thankfully Jurgen Klopp has backups for each and every one of them hence there shouldn’t be any trouble for the German when naming his first XI for the Champions League clash.

Liverpool news vs Napoli:

The most important and positive news for Liverpool is the return of Mo Salah after having missed the Crystal Palace game due to an ankle injury.

Klopp has confirmed that Mo Salah is fully fit and should be named in the starting XI.

“Mo is all good,” the Liverpool manager told Liverpool’s official website.

“He couldn’t train for nine days; he was with the Egyptian national team, went home and trained kind of 60 or 70 per cent the day before yesterday.

“Yesterday was the first time 100 per cent, so we had then to make the decision of whether we started him or not.

“We didn’t start him, we wanted to bring him on as you probably saw but then we scored. So, we could rest him today, that’s really good and Wednesday he will be back.”

Joel Matip remains a long-term absentee for the UCL clash meaning Dejan Lovren will play in central defence alongside Van Dijk.

Some rumours though claim that Gomez could replace Jovren as Klopp would want to rotate his players as Liverpool enter the busy winter season.

Fabinho is more or less a guaranteed starter on Wednesday but either Henderson or Wijnaldum could be rested as Chamberlain comes into the midfield area after having played down the wings on Saturday.

There’s also reason to believe that Naby Keita could get to start vs Napoli on Wednesday.

Sadio Mane played on the right flank vs Palace but with Mo Salah set to return, Mane will move back to the left-hand side while the Egyptian plays on the right.
