Liverpool boosted their quadruple chances by securing a berth in the Champions League final and now they must quickly redirect their focus back to the Premier League.

The Anfield outfit are just one point behind Manchester City right now but their next match is against Spurs so a lot of things can go wrong by Saturday night. If Liverpool fail to win against Conte’s side then their dreams of winning the domestic league will once and for all be over.

The Reds will go into Saturday’s game as the favourites, more so because they have won their last 12 league matches at Anfield and on the other hand, Spurs have lost one and drawn one out of their previous three outings.

Liverpool showed their true class during the second half against Villarreal so at least on paper, they should be winning this one without any major hiccups. Jurgen Klopp’s side played on Tuesday night and after the Spurs match they will have to play yet another midweek match, so it won’t be a surprise if the manager chooses to rotate his squad.

Liverpool team news vs Tottenham:

Konate is Van Dijk’s partner in the European games and in the league, Joel Matip comes in to replace him so for the Liverpool vs Spurs game we will see the same swap in central defence.

TAA and Robertson are guaranteed starters but the manager has Konstantinos Tsimikas as a left-sided backup if required.

Fabinho and Thiago have become a formidable pair in the centre of the pitch and in the final 45 minutes against Villarreal, these two were absolutely world-class.

Both of them should hold onto their place when Conte’s side comes to town but we are likely to see Naby Keita being dropped to the bench. Keita provided an assist in midweek but for the Spurs game, Jurgen Klopp will require the energy of Jordan Henderson on the pitch.

Roberto Firmino is the only injury absentee for Liverpool right now but Klopp has adequate backup in the forward areas to not be worried.

Luiz Diaz turned the Villarreal game on its head after coming on in the second half and he’s very rapidly becoming one of the most reliable players in this Liverpool side. Jota was very average in the 2nd leg of the semi-final so we expect the manager to hand Diaz a starting role against the Lilywhites.
