Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup Against Huddersfield: Can Wagner’s Men Pull Out Another Upset?

0

Liverpool host Huddersfield this weekend at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his team can recover from the humiliating performance that they had put up against Spurs at Wembley.

The German is expected to make a flurry of chances at home but the biggest issue for him will definitely be the lack of squad depth. Klopp has very few players so that he can chop and change and hence he will have to really in almost the same bunch.

Let’s take a look at how Liverpool‘s playing eleven can look during the Liverpool vs Huddersfield game this weekend:

Goalkeeper:

Simon Mignolet is one of the weakest links in Liverpool’s first team and Jurgen Klopp is sure to drop him onto the bench on Saturday. We are hopeful that Loris Karius will take up his place.

Karius

Defence:

Jurgen Klopp was particularly cynical about his team’s defence last weekend and we expect him to make a couple of chances. And the first one will definitely be Dejan Lovren. Lovren was withdrawn in the half-hour mark during the Spurs game and he will definitely be warming the benches this weekend. Joe Gomez is expected to take up his place in central defence. Alberto Moreno is also expected to make way for Robertson.

Robertson – Matip – Gomez – Arnold

Midfield:

The midfield trio will mostly remain the same with the exception of James Milner. Milner will make way for Wijnaldum who will partner Henderson in central midfield while Emre Can will play the usual defensive midfielder’s duties.

Can – Henderson – Wijnaldum

Attack:

The attacking third is expected to look the same as the game against Tottenham Hotspur. Firmino will lead the line as the lone striker – supported by Salah and Coutinho on either flank.

Coutinho – Firmino – Salah
