Manchester United lost their second home game of the new Premier League season 3-2 to Brighton and with that, the Red Devils have returned back to the mediocrity that they displayed all throughout the previous season.

While United are struggling to come up with good performances this new campaign, their arch-rivals Liverpool have had a wonderful start to the new season.

And this just seems the right time for the Merseyside outfit to humiliate Manchester United.

A couple of weeks ago, Jamie Carragher beat fellow pundit Gary Neville in a penalty shoot-out and as a punishment, the former Liverpool defender wanted Neville to wear a Liverpool shirt with Xherdan Shaqiri’s name on the back.

Shaqiri signed for the Reds this summer but in the past, the Swiss International has come under fire from Gary Neville for his unprofessionalism.

So once Neville lost the shoot-out, Jamie Carragher saw this as the right opportunity to rubs salts into the Man United legend’s wound.

And now Carragher has gotten hold of a Liverpool shirt which has been signed by Xherdan Shaqiri himself.

Along with the signature, Shaqiri also wrote a message on the shirt which read: “To my no.1 fan Gary, please don’t track back – SORRY – please don’t backtrack on this bet.”

Gary Neville is expected to wear this shirt on Monday Night Football and this comes at a time when Manchester United are struggling to put out good performances on the pitch.

While Liverpool have made a fine start to the new campaign, Manchester United will have just one out of their first two games and next week they welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
