Tottenham Hotspur beat Ajax 2-3 in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final thus securing a berth in the final which is scheduled to be held in Madrid.

Spurs lost the first leg 1-0 at home and the way Ajax had been playing this season everyone was certain that they would thump a couple of goals past Pochettino’s side at home.

And this is exactly what was happening when the home team put two goals past Hugo Lloris in the first 45 minutes of the second leg and it was more or less certain that Ajax would be taking on Liverpool in the final.

But then, up stepped Lucas Moura.

Lucas Moura had been playing as a centre-forward during the past couple of games due to the absence of Harry Kane and the Brazilian scored a hat-trick in the second half to catapult Spurs to the final.

And one of the three goals was a 96th-minute winner and after the fine performance, a number of Spurs fans are busy thanking Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

Confused? Let us explain.

Spurs signed Lucas Moura from PSG during the January transfer window of 2018 and it was Unai Emery who had chosen to sell off the winger.

So it was fitting that the Spurs fans congratulate the manager of their fiercest rivals for helping them reach the Champions League final.

Lucas Moura initially took time to settle down at the club but this season the 26-year-old has been in tremendous form.

Up until now, the winger has played in 47 games across all competitions for Spurs – scoring 15 goals and making two assists.

And to be very honest, the way Lucas Moura led the line vs Ajax on Wednesday, no one really felt the absence of Harry Kane.
