Liverpool planning to make a move for ‘this’ 20 Y/O Bundesliga goal machine

Liverpool have spent a huge amount of cash in the transfer market during the current season and it seems they have no intentions of stopping.

Jurgen Klopp received a lot of slack during the past couple of months for making big money signings like Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker.

But it seems that all those signings have paid dividend as Liverpool are sitting pretty at the second spot on the league table.

And now if the recent reports are to be believed then the Anfield outfit are planning to make a move for Bundesliga’s hottest prospect Luka Jovic.

Jovic is currently on loan at Frankfurt from Benfica and the 20-year-old has set the German footballing scene on fire by scoring 12 goals and providing 3 assists in just 15 games for his loanee club.

Jovic is one of brightest young prospects in Europe right now and it seems Jurgen Klopp has grown a liking for the young man.

Liverpool are planning to bring in Luka Jovic as a competition to Roberto Firmino and they have been rumoured to make a move as early as January.

This sudden haste is primarily because clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the player with the former sending out scouts to watch the striker in action.

Jovic has seen a meteoric rise since last season he managed to score just nine goals in 27 matches for Frankfurt but this year he has already surpassed that tally.

This sudden goal scoring form also means that the player’s transfer value has also increased in leaps and bounds and currently he is valued at €20 million as per TransferMarkt.

Liverpool are planning to beat Barcelona and Bayern to the race but with the kind of form Luka Jovic is in we are fairly sure that the last thing Benfica would want is to dissolve his loan contract and let him out for cheap in January.
