Man City beat Burnley 4-1 in the Premier League in midweek and next up they take on Manchester United at home on Saturday.

With the win vs Burnley, Pep Guardiola’s men were able to keep themselves in the title hunt but the failure to pick up a win during the Manchester Derby could very well throw them out of the race with Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola has a few key injuries to deal with but the backup players have proved to be more than capable to do the job whenever called upon by the manager.

Man City will most certainly adopt an attacking mindset since they will be playing at home and this is something that can really work in United’s advantage since Solskjaer’s men like to play against sides which take the initiative during games.

Man City news vs Man United:

Aymeric Laporte remains sidelined with an injury meaning it will be Fernandinho and John Stones who will play in central defence on Saturday.

Nicholas Otamendi started the Burnley game but we are pretty confident that Guardiola will opt for Fernandinho during the Manchester Derby.

Angelino started at left-back in midweek but Benjamin Mendy should retake his place in the backline as Kyle Walker plays in the right-back role.

With Fernandinho playing in defence, Rodri’s been getting some regular starts and he will once again play in defensive midfield against Manchester United while the duo of David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne play a bit further up front.

Raheem Sterling is more or less a guaranteed starter down the left flank but Pep Guardiola will surely have some headaches when selected his right-winger for Saturday.

Both Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva have done exceptionally well whenever they have started but we think it will be the Portuguese who will get the nod ahead of the former Leicester City man.

Sergio Aguero is still sidelined with a thigh injury and it’s been confirmed the Argentine has a tendon problem.

While some reports claim, he has an outside chance of making himself fit for the Manchester Derby but we don’t think he stands a chance.

This means Gabriel Jesus will play as the main striker for Man City on Saturday and the Brazilian will be raring to go after his fine display against Burnley in midweek.
