Barcelona want Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne Man City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been a key player for Pep Guardiola this season but the Argentine is currently sidelined with a muscle injury.

Aguero picked up the injury while playing against Chelsea a couple of weeks ago and since then, he’s been out of action with some reports claiming he should be fit in time to play the Manchester Derby.

But now though, Man City manager Pep Guardiola has made it clear that while Zinchenko is available for selection after recovering from a knee injury but Sergio Aguero will not play any part on Saturday against Man United.

“He’s[Zinchenko] been training for the last few days,” Guardiola told in his pre-match press conference.

“He trained with all the squad. He’s ready, but in his physical condition, I don’t know how many minutes he can play.

“Sergio is not available.”

The absence of Aguero will surely be a big blow for Pep Guardiola since the South American has been a class apart whenever Man City play against a top-six opponent.

But while City will surely miss the services of Kun Aguero, Guardiola does have the apt replacement in the form of Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian has mostly played second fiddle to Sergio Aguero during the current campaign but in midweek he showed exactly what he’s capable of – scoring two goals against Burnley.

The form of Jesus will be a big confidence booster for the Man City boss but at the same time, he’ll know that with Aguero out of the picture, it will be very difficult for him to reshuffle the forward line if things go south during the derby.
