Man City welcome Leicester City at the Etihad this weekend in the Premier League and while predicting the outcome of the match for BetVictor, Michael Owen has claimed that Guardiola’s men are about to go on a joy-ride.

The pundit has said: “Manchester City got their new campaign off to a winning start against Wolves and once again it looks like Kevin de Bruyne is going to be their main man this season.

“With Sergio Aguero set to be sidelined for a number of weeks, Pep Guardiola will have been delighted to see Gabriel Jesus on the scoresheet and I fancy that he could be a surprise contender for Golden Boot winner come the end of the season.

“Leicester have started the season well but, as manager Brendan Rodgers pointed out after their recent 4-2 win over Burnley, nobody should be getting too carried away with how the Premier League table looks after two games.

“Manchester City will be desperate to ensure they don’t allow a big gap to open up between themselves and their title rivals and I see them winning this one with a comfortable 4-1 scoreline.”

Will Owen’s prediction about the Man City vs Leicester match come true?

Well, for starters, there’s every chance that Man City might end up picking up all three points this weekend but we are not confident they will not be able to score four past Rodgers’ men.

More so since the City boss has claimed that going into this match, he has only 13 first-team players who are fully fit.

Guardiola said on Friday, as reported by talkSPORT: “Well, the situation we have right now, we have just 13 players available in the first team. We need the Academy, not just for the training sessions. They can be selected during the games.

“With the problems we have up front, of course Liam will stay with us. We’ll see if we need him or use him.

“But we cannot forget, like the same way we spoke about Phil Foden in previous seasons, he’s just 17 years old. He has a lot of things to improve, steps need their own time.”

This means the Man City manager will mostly have to rely on his starting XI to pull the game through and pick up a win.

Also, Leicester City are no walkover team that they will allow Manchester City to run riot on Sunday.
