Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Spurs forward Harry Kane in the summer and according to Paul Robinson, Spurs could be willing to sell him off.
Recently the England captain had hinted that he could move out of Spurs in a bit to win trophies and immediately rumours started of Manchester United pushing for a possible transfer as soon as the current season ended.
‘It’s one of those things – I couldn’t say yes and I couldn’t say no’, Kane said while talking about a possible exit.
‘I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs but I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I’m not someone to stay there for the sake of it,
‘I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, get better and become one of the top, top players. It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever, but it’s not a no either.’
And according to Paul Robinson, Daniel Levy will only sell off Hary Kane if the transfer fee is just right so that he can use the money to bring in proper reinforcements.
“It is difficult when a player of that magnitude and that quality says that they want to leave a club – it’s just like with Gareth Bale,” he said, as reported.
“The deal has to be right. In the past, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has made sure the deals are right and he has got excellent value for players.
“The deal would have to be right for everybody and it would have to be a very large sum of money that could be reinvested into the squad.
“The squad needs strengthening. To take Harry out of the equation you would need to reinvest the money very sensibly. You only have to look at Bale.”
Harry Kane is currently valued at €150 million as per TransferMarkt and it’s no secret that Daniel Levy will not be in a hurry to sell him off since the player still has three years left on his current deal.
So now the onus is upon Manchester United to convince the Lilywhites but most importantly Harry Kane since the club will have no other option but to sell him off in case the player wants to move out in the summer.
