UCL Champions League final UEFA Champions League
UEFA Champions League

Man United have been on the up ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the club and right now many people believe that they are the best-placed team to finish fourth on the league table.

The Red Devils are currently fourth on the table with 58 points but the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are already breathing down their neck.

While many fans feel that finishing fourth will be enough for Man United to get back into the Champions League but we can assure you that Solskjaer’s men are in the worst possible position.

As things stand, only four teams from England will qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season which logically would mean that the top-four sides on the EPL table book that spot.

But what happens if Chelsea or Arsenal manage to lift the Europa League?

Well, in that case, the team which lifts the Europa League would go directly into the Champions League next season.

This means that if Chelsea or Arsenal were to win the second tier of European competition then it would mean that only the top three teams on the league table will qualify for the Champions League.

So Man United are the most vulnerable team right now since they could finish fourth and still be playing in the Europa League next season.

In order to ensure that they get back into the Champions League, Man United will have to ensure that they finish third on the league table given that Man City and Liverpool have more or less decided the top two spots.

United are just three points away from that third spot on the table but the Red Devils will have to face the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City whereas Spurs only have Liverpool as their toughest opposition until the end of the season.

While Arsenal and Chelsea will most certainly be fighting a top-four finish but they will still have a secondary option of getting back into the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
