Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are set to miss Manchester United’s trip to Derby this week for the 5th Round of the FA Cup – the manager has confirmed.

Daniel James was not part of the matchday squad against Everton this past Sunday and now the manager has revealed the Welshman will miss the FA Cup game too.

The winger though will not be missed too much for this Thursday night encounter but Ole will surely be hoping that the summer signing is fit in time for the Manchester Derby.

Wan-Bissaka though started and played the full 90 minutes against Everton but the manager has revealed that the full-back has picked up a slight injury which will keep him out of action in midweek.

“Yeah [James will] probably miss out on this one as well and Marcus and Paul are still out and I think Aaron might be struggling,” Ole told reporters at his pre-match press conference, as quoted by the club’s website.

“He’s got a test today, but he struggled in our last game against Everton with his back, so he might be out.

“Paul’s still working with the physios outside and he won’t be training with the first team until next week.

“So then let’s see how long that will take, but he’ll need some time to train to get his football fitness back.”

Despite the players being key to Solskjaer’s plans, the Norwegian will hopefully not miss them too much since he has apt replacements in these areas.

Mason Greenwood is likely to start on the right flank in place of Danie James while Diogo Dalot will slot into the right-back role to full up the role of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
