Gareth Bale has endured testing times ever since he joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2013.

During the 2018-19 season, Gareth Bale has managed to score only 14 goals and make 6 assists in 42 games for the Los Blancos and Zinedine Zidane is ready to offload him during the summer transfer window.

The Welshman though is not too keen to leave the Bernabeu since he wishes to stay back and prove his critics wrong. But Zidane is not too keen to give him another chance since the manager wants to raise funds in order to bring in some new signings.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Gareth Bale and multiple reports have claimed that the Red Devils are favourites to sign the forward during the summer.

But according to his former teammate Peter Crouch, moving to Man United will not likely be the right move for Gareth Bale and instead, he should re-join Tottenham Hotspur.

“Gareth Bale’s position at Real Madrid continues to confuse me and the misuse of such a talented player is ridiculous,” Crouch told the Daily Mail(as reported by Goal).

“We share the same agent and, as far as I know, he is determined to stick it out in Spain.

“He is happy living there and wants to force his way back into the team, regardless of the speculation that continues to follow him.

“But if he is not going to be used regularly next season, I would love to see him return to Spurs.

“I saw reports earlier this week of him going back to the club on loan, with a £10million loan fee suggested. I know how Daniel Levy operates and that certainly wouldn’t be the kind of deal he’d like to do!

“It would make a lot of sense, however. Could you imagine his searing pace alongside Harry Kane? I think it would pay a lot of dividends.

“He keeps being linked to Manchester United, but I just don’t see that club suiting him at the minute.

“When Gareth is fit and healthy, he is one of the most exciting players in the world.

“I hate seeing him sitting on the bench, without being appreciated. I’d love to see him back here reminding everyone just how good he is.”
