Romelu Lukaku Man United vs Barcelona

Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer began his permanent reign with a 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday.

But it wasn’t the kind of performance that the manager had been hoping for.

Watford were by far the better team during the game and it was only a lack of creativity which cost the Hornets the three points.

Man United, on the other hand, were clinical in front of goal and after riding the storm for most of the match, the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial proved to be just too much for the Watford defence.

Rashford scored the first goal of the match just before the half-hour mark and then it was Anthony Martial who settled the nerves inside Old Trafford with a rather scrappy goal in the 72nd minute.

Rashford has been a revelation ever since he was handed the front role by Solskjaer and right now the England international is on 10 goals in the Premier League this season.

And with that, the Man United forwards have managed to achieve something rather special – well, atleast since Sir Alex’s departure.

For the first time since the 2012-13 season, Man United have three or more players who have managed to score 10+ goals in the Premier League.

Right now, Romelu Lukaku is the top scorer for Man United with 12 goals followed by Paul Pogba who has bagged 11 this campaign.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both on 10 goals in the Premier League this season.

And it is fair to say that Man United have been scoring more goals ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had taken charge of the club back in December and the fans are finally happy that the boring one-dimensional football of Jose Mourinho has left Old Trafford for good.
