Manchester United will take on Arsenal at Old Trafford on Wednesday night and Jose Mourinho has some serious problems on his hands before the match.

United drew their previous Premier League encounter 2-2 against Southampton and now they find themselves miles behind that top four.

And up next, the Red Devils welcome Arsenal at home on Wednesday night and by the end of this week, Jose Mourinho could very well lose his job at Old Trafford.

More so because the Man United manager has some serious selection concerns.

The first major concern will be with the injury of Luke Shaw who limped off the pitch during the second half of the Southampton game.

Shaw was replaced by Diogo Dalot and initial reports suggest the left-back could be out for the Man United vs Arsenal game.

Luke Shaw has been one of the bright sparks for an otherwise poor season for Manchester United and now he could face a significant amount of time out on the sidelines.

Naturally, it would have been Ashley Young who would have taken Luke Shaw’s place at left-back but the English international too will be unavailable due to suspension.

This poses a serious problem for Jose Mourinho given he will now have to play an unfamiliar face in left-back.

The obvious choice would be Marcos Rojo who is back to full fitness and has played in that position but the last thing Jose Mourinho would now want is another underperforming player in his squad.

Antonio Valencia should start at right-back but given that he has fallen out of favour, we could very well see Diogo Dalot make it to the first eleven.

A loss for Manchester United against Arsenal would most certainly mean that Jose Mourinho will now have to look at winning the Champions League if his team wants to play amongst Europe’s elites next campaign.
