Liverpool came out on top at the Merseyside Derby as they beat Everton 1-0 thanks to a late late goal from Divock Origi.
Origi put the ball into the back of the net in the 96th minute of the match after a horrible error from Jordan Pickford.
Pickford instead of seeing the ball fly over the crossbar chose to bring it down and catch it. But all he managed to do was put it infront of goal in order to help Divock Origi score his first goal of the season.
And as soon as the final whistle blew, Jordan Pickford has been heavily trolled by the Liverpool fans and some Everton fans have chosen to hurl abuses at the England No 1.
But amongst all this, the Manchester United fans have also started trolling Jordan Pickford.
If you are all a bit confused then let me tell you that on Sunday some major publications in England had claimed that Manchester United are looking to sign Jordan Pickford as an alternative to David De Gea who is yet to sign a new deal at the club.
Man United chose to activate the one-year extension clause in De Gea’s contract as they still need time to bind down the Spaniard to a new deal.
When the reports of Jordan Pickford replacing De Gea broke initially it was met with a mixed response but on after the England international’s howler against Liverpool on Sunday, the Man United fans are urging their club not to go after him.
