Man United take on Manchester City in the Premier League this Wednesday and Solskjaer’s men could be the final team who are capable of stopping the Pep Guardiola juggernaut this season.

But given the recent form, we doubt if Man United can put up any challenge on Wednesday especially after their 4-0 loss to Everton this past weekend.

Solskjaer had some harsh words to say about his player’s attitude after the loss at Goodison Park and now Pogba and co need to pull up their socks and come up with a top-class display versus their cross-town rivals.

Man United news vs Man City:

Phil Jones and Chris Smalling started in central defence vs Everton on Sunday while Victor Lindelof played as the right-back. But this reshuffle at the back clearly proved to be a failed experiment as Marco Silva’s side tore down the defence.

On Wednesday, Lindelof should return back to central defence alongside Chris Smalling which means Phil Jones will return back to the bench.

Luke Shaw missed the Everton game but the left-back will most certainly return back to the starting XI vs Manchester City.

Fred had a couple of decent outing during the past few games but the Brazilian was once again poor during the weekend. And now that Ander Herrera has returned back to training, the Spaniard should replace Fred in the first team.

Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba both had a poor outing at Goodison Park but the duo are expected to retain their place in midweek.

Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial are likely to be dropped vs Man City meaning Marcus Rashford will be the only man who will retain his place.

Alexis Sanchez is expected to start up front and given all the transfer rumours, this could be the final Manchester Derby that the Chilean is a part of.
