Man United might have been going through a rough patch in their Premier League campaign but in Europe, they are yet to lose a match.

The Red Devils are currently at the top of their Group and next up they take on Partizan Belgrade at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Man United have picked up seven points from their first three matches in the group meaning if they can win against Partizan this week then they will secure a move into the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Partizan have so far managed only a single win in Europe this season but during the reverse leg, they did manage to cause a few problems for Man United and they will be hoping a repeat of the same this week.

Man United news vs Partizan:

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted that he made a few selection mistakes during United’s loss to Bournemouth and this week we expect to see a major reshuffle of the first XI.

A number of the first team players are expected to be rested meaning the youngsters will get to start vs Partizan.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof played in central defence on Saturday but one of them might be rested in midweek as Marcos Rojo comes into the first XI.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka too expected to be rested vs Partizan as Ashley Young takes his place at right-back.

Luke Shaw has returned back to light training on Monday but the full-back will not recover in time to be in Europe this season which means that Brandan Williams will get to start at left-back after having impressed a number of people during his last few outings.

Nemanja Matic is still out with an injury meaning Scott McTominay will once again be partnered by Fred in central midfield. But there is also a slight chance that youngster James Garner could replace Fred.

Mason Greenwood missed the reverse fixture but he should be a guaranteed starter replacing Anthony Martial upfront while Daniel James plays down the right.

Jesse Lingard’s performances have been dipping with each passing game but the Man United boss seems to have full faith on the England International. But on Thursday, Lingard will hopefully not start but instead, get a place on the bench.

Marcus Rashford should keep his place in the first XI and Juan Mata is expected to come into the first XI in order to replace Andreas Pereira.

Man United are looking at an easy three-pointer vs Partizan but Solskjaer will surely be a bit sceptical especially after losing to teams like Newcastle and Bournemouth this season.
