Man United suffered their fourth defeat of the season as they went down 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday but the manager will have no time to dissect this loss because on Tuesday they will have to play in the Champions League.

In midweek, Manchester United play their second group game of the season as they welcome Galatasaray at Old Trafford and the Red Devils will be looking to get back to winning ways by picking up their first European win of the campaign.

Man United are in all types of mess right now and it looks like Erik ten Hag is losing control with each passing week. The Dutch boss has ruled with an iron fist in terms of disciplinary matters but on the pitch, his team’s performances have been on a rapid decline.

On paper, United should win this one but Galatasaray are in fine form right now as they haven’t lost in their previous fourteen matches so it will be a really tight contest. Man United lost to Bayern Munich in their opening UCL matchweek so they need to win this one or else there will be jitters in the Red Devils’ camp.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Lisandro Martinez has aggravated his foot injury which means he is going to be out of action for a few more weeks and this is a big blow for Erik ten Hag. The United boss has Harry Maguire in his squad but he is going to rely on the pairing of Varane and Lindelof.

Reguilon has missed the last two matches but the left-back is going to come back into the squad which is a big boost because Luke Shaw is out with a muscle injury. Reguilon’s return will hopefully see Sofyan Amrabat return into central midfield alongside Casemiro.

This is going to be the first time Casemiro and Amrabat will pair up in midfield but it will also leave Ten Hag with a big decision to make. Mount and Bruno Fernandes are both fully fit so if Amrabat is playing in the middle of the pitch then the Man United manager will likely use Mount in the No 10 and push Fernandes out wide.

Bruno Fernandes is familiar with this role and since Antony has just come back into the squad, he is not expected to be available for Tuesday’s match.

Marcus Rashford has made a very poor start to the new season and even his manager is aware that the England international has to pull up his socks.

The manager has said: “I think he knows he can do better than he does now. He works hard and that is what he is doing. He will net, he will finish and it will come but it is not going to be automatic,

“He has to invest a lot, the team has to invest a lot around him. Today, we were in the right positions but the decision-making was not good enough and then we don’t score.”

Garnacho has done really well whenever he’s come off the bench and we seriously think Ten Hag should drop Rashford to the bench and hand a start to the Argentine on Tuesday night.

Hojlund is still settling down at Old Trafford but he will hold onto his place because Anthony Martial is just not fit enough to lead the line.
