Man United avoided defeat at Anfield last weekend and now, they will be eager to get back to winning ways when they face West Ham United.

The Red Devils travel to London on Saturday to take on the Hammers and Manchester United will need to win this one because a loss could push them to the ninth spot on the Premier League table.

Man United have won just one of their last six matches in all competitions so they desperately need to win this weekend. They have already lost seven matches this season and honestly, Erik ten Hag cannot afford any more setbacks.

West Ham have won three out of their previous five matches while Man United have won just one out of the same number of matches. This is going to be a very even contest and the way they are playing, one of United’s star players will have to come up with a moment of individual brilliance.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Erik ten Hag will take his team to London with as many as 11 first-team players missing from his matchday squad.

Dalot picked up a bizarre red card against Liverpool so he is suspended while Jadon Sancho is frozen from the squad. Apart from these two players, all others are injury absentees.

Players like Casemiro, Mount and Harry Maguire won’t be back until the new year and while Eriksen has started training, the midfielder is not going to be fit in time to face West Ham United.

Ten Hag has suffered another setback as Victor Lindelof has undergone surgery and will be out for a few weeks.

“We have some doubts, we have some illnesses during the week, so we have to see who is available for tomorrow,” Ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference on Friday. “Hopefully, they are recovered but we have to see.

“They [Martinez and Casemiro] are not available before Christmas. Mid-January, we expect them back.

“Mason Mount is similar, into January. Harry Maguire, I expect him early on [in the new year]. Victor Lindelof is not available. He has done surgery so he will be out for a couple of weeks.”

Lindelof and Maguire’s absence means the Man United manager will have to rely on the pairing of Evans and Varane who did a brilliant job against Liverpool.

Hojlund is still looking for his first league goal but with Martial missing with an illness, the summer signing will lead the line once again. Rashford has fallen down the pecking order with Ten Hag now favouring Garnacho down the left flank.

Bruno Fernandes missed the Liverpool game due to a suspension but he will come back into the first XI this weekend. Fernandes’ return will see a reshuffle in midfield with Mainoo moving back to the bench.

Man United predicted line up vs West Ham United:

Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Varane, Evans; McTominay, Amrabat; Fernandes, Garnacho, Antony; Hojlund.
