Man United picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup on Saturday and next up they shift their focus back to the English Premier League.

The Red Devils have been in stellar form since the resumption of the season and next up they take on Brighton and Hove Albion, away from home.

Man United are currently sixth on the league table but have played one game less than Wolves so if they can manage to beat the Seagulls on Tuesday then Solskjaer’s men will move back to the fifth spot – within two points of Chelsea.

Man Utd have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 7 matches in the Premier League whereas Brighton have picked up just one win in their last six matches so picking up three points should not be a major cause of concern for the away side.

Man United team news vs Brighton:

Sergio Romero played in goal vs Norwich in the weekend but David De Gea will return in goal while Victor Lindelof will likely replace Eric Bailly in central defence as he starts alongside Harry Maguire.

Luke Shaw has been in fine form since the restart and should keep his place at left-back while Aaron Wan-Bissaka comes back into the starting XI after being rested in the weekend.

Fred and McTominay played in central midfield vs Norwich in United’s FA Cup clash but the duo will most certainly be rested as Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba come into the team.

Bruno Fernandes, for the first time, looked average in a Man United shirt and many people think the Portuguese needs to be rested vs Brighton.

We doubt if Solskjaer will opt for that opinion given that his side need to maintain the pressure on the likes of Wolves and Chelsea.

Jesse Lingard will move back to the bench in order to make way for Marcus Rashford while Juan Mata will be replaced by Mason Greenwood on the right flank.

Odion Ighalo was one of the goalscorers for Man United during the weekend but the Nigerian will most certainly make way for Anthony Martial who scored a hat-trick vs Sheffield United last week.

Man United’s predicted XI vs Brighton:

United’s predicted starting line-up: De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Matic, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes; Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood.
