Man United are back in Europe this week as they take on Club Brugge in the Round of 32 of the Europa League on Thursday.

The Red Devils picked up an all-important win in the Premier League against Chelsea last weekend which has once again thrown the race for the final Champions League spot wide open and after such a crucial match, Solksjaer men will have to hit the road since the first leg against Brugge is an away leg.

Man Utd are undefeated in 16 of their last 17 matches in the Europa League and Ole will be hoping to wrap up the tie on Thursday itself so that he can rest a couple of his players when Brugge come to Old Trafford for the reverse leg.

Man United team news vs Club Brugge:

Sergio Romero has been the European keeper of choice for the Man United manager and the Argentine will once again replace David De Gea in goal on Thursday.

Ole used a three-man defensive line-up vs the Blues and given they play away from home, we feel the manager will opt for a similar formation vs Brugge as well.

This would mean Luke Shaw will keep his place in the first XI while Axel Tuanzebe could come into the side replacing Bailly.

Eric Bailly came back from injury to put in a delightful performance vs Chelsea but given how injury-prone the player has been, we don’t think the manager will risk using him so rigorously.

Fred and Matic have been a class apart for Man United this season but the duo will surely be rested for the Brugge game especially now that Scott McTominay has returned back from injury.

The Scottish international should be fit enough to be handed a starting role alongside Bruno Fernandes and Andreas Pereira in midfield.

Diogo Dalot should also replace Aaron Wan Bissaka as the right full-back while Brandon Williams is expected to keep his place in the first-team line-up.

Jesse Lingard has also been warming the bench after Man United have brought in Fernandes but given the formation that the manager is expected to play, the England international should get a run-in.

Odion Ighalo made a brief appearance for United against Chelsea but the Nigerian should get his first start for Man United this Thursday at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

Man United’s predicted XI vs Club Brugge:
