Man United take on Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this weekend and the Red Devils go into this game at the back of a superb win over AC Milan in the Europa League.

United knocked Milan out of the Europa League, winning the Round of 16 with an aggregate scoreline of 2-1 and in this game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also saw the return of some of key first-team players.

The Milan game would have been a huge confidence booster for Manchester United but Leicester City will be really fancying their chances on Sunday since they have gotten a full week’s rest while Man United played in Italy on Thursday.

Also, Solskjaer has a few injuries to deal with going into this key match and the manager might have to chop and change his first XI once again. And this is something that could eventually help Leicester City nick the tie.

Man United team news vs Leicester City:

Dean Henderson pulled off a super save on Thursday and he will retain his place in front of goal as David De Gea watches on from the bench.

Maguire and Victor Lindelof will reprise their role in central defence since Eric Bailly is once again out with a knock. Luke Shaw could be rested since Ole does have a proper backup in the form of Alex Telles but we don’t think the manager will be ready to drop a key player like Shaw.

Fred and McTominay put out a pretty decent performance in midweek and even though Nemanja Matic is fit to play, the Man United boss could use the same midfield pairing against the Foxes.

Donny van de Beek has returned to full fitness and was on the bench vs AC Milan. The Dutchman will not get a start against Leicester either and at best, he might come on as a sub in the second half.

Paul Pogba was another player who returned from injury and was instrumental in Man United knocking out AC Milan. And with Marcus Rashford picking up a slight ankle injury, the Frenchman could be deployed on the left wing at the King Power.

Rashford’s injury is nothing serious but Ole will think twice before naming him in the starting line-up.

Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial are both out injured and there’s a big chance that both of them could miss out on Sunday. This would mean Mason Greenwood will once again have to play up front but the manager is desperate to give the youngster a much-deserved rest.

Man United’s predicted line-up vs Leicester:

Possible Starting Line-up: Dean Henderson; Maguire, Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw/Telles; Fred, McTominay, Bruno Fernandes; Pogba, Greenwood, Daniel James.
