Man United dropped points in the Premier League this week as they were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United at Old Trafford. And next up, they take on Leicester City away from home in the final matchweek.
United just need to avoid defeat at Leicester in order to secure a top-four finish this season and if Wolves manage to beat Chelsea then the Red Devils can qualify for the Champions League even if the Foxes beat them on Sunday.
Man United are undefeated in their last 13 matches and are yet to lose a league match since the resumption of the league. Solskjaer’s men have been one of the best attacking sides in the top division over the past couple of weeks so the away side will surely have a slight edge at the King Power.
Also, Leicester will be without a number of their key players so Manchester United should not be looking at anything but three points on Sunday.
Man United team news vs Leicester City:
David De Gea has been under fire during the past few matches but like the Hammers game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will stick with his regular No 1 on Sunday as well.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will reprise their role in central defence while Aaron Wan-Bissaka will return to the starting line-up at right-back.
Luke Shaw has missed the past couple of matches due to an ankle injury and the left-back still remains a doubt for the weekend clash. Young Brandon Williams will start if Shaw is not available for selection.
Paul Pogba had his poorest outing since the league resumed and the Frenchman will be itching to set the record start vs the Foxes as he starts in central midfield alongside Nemanja Matic.
Bruno Fernandes was once again lacklustre against West Ham United but the Portuguese will start vs Leicester City.
Marcus Rashford was really ineffective in midweek and Solskjaer will want the England international to up his game at the King Power on Sunday.
Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood put in a fine shift against the Hammers and the duo are guaranteed starters during the final matchweek.
Man United’s predicted XI vs Leicester:
Possible Starting Line-up: De Gea; Maguire, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw/Williams; Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes; Rashford, Anthony Martial, Greenwood.
