Man United were knocked out of the FA Cup on Sunday by Chelsea and this was their first loss since the season restarted a couple of weeks ago.

Solskjaer though will have no time to sit back and ponder over this loss since, in just three days time, his players will have to take on West Ham United in the Premier League.

The Red Devils are undefeated in their last 12 matches in the league but the Hammers go into this game at the back of two commanding wins against Norwich and then Watford.

Also, West Ham United are safe from relegation so they can now play with a lot more freedom and this could be a bit of an issue for Man United as their defence has looked pretty shaky in their last couple of outings.

Man United team news vs West Ham United:

David De Gea had another poor outing on Sunday but Solskjaer should stick with him in front of goal in midweek.

Eric Bailly was taken off the pitch at Wembley on a stretcher after a head injury and he will most certainly not be ready to take on the Hammers meaning Lindelof and Maguire will play in central defence.

Luke Shaw remained an absentee in the FA Cup final but the left-back should be fit enough to play at Old Trafford in midweek.

Fred started against Chelsea but he will surely drop back to the bench making way for Paul Pogba who will start in central midfield alongside Nemanja Matic.

Bruno Fernandes has been misfiring for Man United in his last two matches and Portuguese will be eager to set the record straight on Wednesday.

Marcus Rashford was really poor against Chelsea but he is one of United’s best players so he will definitely get a start up front alongside Anthony Martial who came on as a sub in the FA Cup semi-final.

Daniel James got a rare start on Sunday but the Welshman will be replaced by young Mason Greenwood against West Ham United.

Man United’s predicted XI vs WHUFC:

Predicted Starting XI: David De Gea; Maguire, Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes; Rashford, Martial, Greenwood.
