Man United receive a triple injury boost just days before they take on Arsenal in the EPL

Man United take on Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend and this game could very well shape the top-four of the table.

A win for United would take them four points clear of Arsenal but if the Gunners can pick up three points then Emery’s men will leapfrog over the Red Devils.

Going into this game, Solskjaer still have a number of injury concerns with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata still sidelined with injuries.

But speaking before the match, the manager has revealed that a number of his injured players are expected to return to the matchday squad on Sunday.

Solskjaer has made it clear that Anthony Martial is fit after picking up a muscle injury during Man United’s clash vs PSG during the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

“Anthony will be available,” Solskjaer said.

The return of Martial will be a huge boost for the manager since Jesse Lingard is still out injured and the manager only has Lukaku and Marcus Rashford as his two fit forwards.

Eric Bailly who came off during the second leg clash vs PSG earlier this week is also fit while midfielder duo Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera are also likely to be named in the matchday squad on Sunday.

“Eric [Bailly is fine]. Hopefully, Nemanja and or Ander will be available.”

Nemanja Matic picked up a muscle injury in training a couple of weeks ago while Ander Herrera injured his hamstring during Man United’s clash vs Liverpool.

And if both these players can feature in the first XI vs Arsenal on Sunday then Solskajer will most certainly be one happy man.

Scott McTominay has done really well to fill up the void left by Nemanja Matic so the manager will not be really concerned with that position but Ander Herrera will surely be thrown into the mix given the Spaniard is one of the finest pressers when United do not have possession.
