Man United have managed to return to the Champions League by finishing in the top four of the Premier League table but they still have the chance of winning a key silverware as they are still active in the Europa League.

Manchester United will take on LASK in the second leg of the Round of 16 at Old Trafford this midweek.

The Red Devils will go into this match with a 5-0 advantage meaning LASK will have to pull off the greatest ever European turnaround in order to progress to the next round.

This game is the perfect opportunity for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to rest a number of his key first-team players so we can expect some of the benchwarmers to return to the first XI on Wednesday.

Man United team news vs LASK:

Harry Maguire has played every minute of the current Premier League season and we doubt is the Man United manager will risk resting his captain.

Victor Lindelof should make way for Eric Bailly who has not played since he was taken off with a head injury a couple of weeks ago.

Luke Shaw is still out with an ankle injury meaning Brandon Williams will start at left-back while Diogo Dalot should replace Aaron-Wan Bissaka on the right-hand side of the pitch.

Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba will both be rested for this match meaning Scott McTominay will be partnered by Fred in central midfield.

Bruno Fernandes has made the attacking midfielder’s role his own since his arrival at the club but the Portuguese will hopefully start on the bench for this one. Jesse Lingard put his name on the scoresheet against Leicester City and could finally get a start vs LASK.

Daniel James will return to the starting line-up but Solskjaer will have to choose between Tahith Chong and Juan Mata. The manager might just go for experience on Wednesday.

Anthony Martial will also be given a much-deserved rest as Odion Ighalo comes into the starting XI and will play as the lone striker upfront.
