Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been tipped to move out of Arsenal during the summer transfer window and Manchester United are one of the clubs who are said to be interested in signing him.

Recently there have been reports that Man United are interested in signing the Gabon international and will make a move to sign him in the summer. And according to pundit Paul Merson, Aubameyang might be the man who could help the Old Trafford outfit compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Merson wrote for Sky Sports: “Aubameyang is what Manchester United are missing. He is a goal scorer and goal scorers are priceless.

“If you look at United and the way they played against Manchester City a couple of weeks ago, I thought they were very, very good. You looked at them and thought they have got a chance, especially if they could also get hold of a couple more players, especially a creative midfielder.

“You couldn’t help but be impressed with their performance and if they were to sign Aubameyang and they also got someone like a Jack Grealish, are they big players? They would be a major force, in my opinion.

“They are crying out for someone who is going to score them 20 to 25 goals, and that’s what Aubameyang can bring.

“He gets you 25 goals without even breaking sweat. Add a Grealish if they can get him and then you’ve got Bruno Fernandes as well playing in behind a striker, Manchester United will be a major force.”

Is Aubameyang the man for Man United?

Aubameyang currently has 17 goals in just 26 Premier League games for Arsenal this season and if Man United can get their hands on the player in the summer then surely scoring goals will not be a problem for Ole’s men next season.

But unlike a couple of seasons ago, Man United are no longer chasing big-name players just for the sake of it.

While Man United will be able to get their hands on Aubameyang for a relatively low price in the summer but as per rumours, the player has a massive wage demand which could once again cause turmoil inside the Man United dressing room next season.

So while Aubameyang will surely a huge hit on the pitch if United were to sign him but the management will now have to make a call as to whether they want another big name star to come in and disbalance the squad.
