Manchester City won their first games in five matches to give their Champions League fight a major lift. Pep Guardiola’s side earned a pretty comfortable victory as they won the match 3-1.
Manchester City players ratings:
Claudio Bravo: 5/10
Did not have much to do very frankly. Was a spectator for most of the match. Even though he did concede one goal but it was not his fault as the ball took a deflection.
Jesus Navas: 7/10
Going upfront he was absolutely brilliant and was a treat to the eyes. But defensively he did have a few nervy moments. But in the end, he came out without any major bruises.
John Stones: 8.5/10
He proved to be the leader in the back line. Stones took the responsibility of the defense on his shoulders. And came out with flying colors.
Kolarov: 6.5/10
Was a bit on the poorer side of things. Made a few rash decisions throughout the match.
Clichy: 6/10
Was more or less solid in defense and was menacing on the opposite half of the pitch.
Yaya Toure: 7/10
He was the fulcrum for Pep Guardiola’s side and kept the ball moving at the heart of midfield.
Sterling: 8/10
Tormented the Hull City defense with his pace and skills. He also provided an assist for the third goal.
David Silva: 7/10
Silva playing his 300th game for City has a very OK game. He did nothing special that’s worth mentioning.
Delph: 7/10
He made the first early mistake that nearly cost City. But after that, he put in a great shift.

Leroy Sane: 6/10
Sane had a very quiet game on the flanks. He also missed a sitter early on.
Aguero: 7.5/10
Aguero scored his 10th goal in as many matches and put in a good shift throughout the 90 minutes.
Substitutes:
Nolito: 5/10
Needs much more game time to get back into form.
