Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or 2017.

The United No 1 played 35 games in the English Premier League last season during which he managed to keep 14 clean sheets. De Gea also made 59 saves in those 35 games and conceded only 29 goals. This means that the Spaniard managed to put out an outstanding 2.11 saves per goal throughout the season.

And such a fine performance has been rightfully rewarded with a Ballon d’Or nomination.
