Manuel Lanzini picked up a nasty injury during West Ham’s 3-0 loss to Burnley on Saturday in the Premier League. And the way he was stretchered off the pitch, the news was not expected to be too positive.

After being taken off the pitch, Manuel Lazini was given oxygen and then taken to the hospital with Pellegrini claiming that the attacking midfielder would need time to recover.

“We must see what the doctor says,” Pellegrini said[as reported by Sky Sports].

“It seems it’s not so easy but we’ll see how long he needs to recover.”

And now as per reports, Manuel Lanzini has suffered a broken collarbone and will be out for around two months.

The player had surgery on Monday and as the major tabloids in England, the Argentine is not likely to play any further part this year.

Last year during the summer, Manuel Lanzini ruptured his cruciate ligament which meant he the whole first half of the 2018-19 season.

But this campaign it seemed as if the 26-year-old had overcome all his injury concerns having featured in 11 Premier League games so far for West Ham United.

Now though his injury will surely be a big blow for Manuel Pellegrini since the Hammers are scheduled to take on the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal right after the international break.
