Manchester United beat Brighton at home this weekend courtesy of goals from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford.
And this win means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has picked up seven wins out of seven games.
While most the players seem to have found a new lease of life under the Norwegian boss but it is Marcus Rashford who seems to be thriving.
The England international had been used on an off by Jose Mourinho but under Solskjaer Marcus Rashford is more or less a regular feature.
The caretaker boss has chosen to play him down the middle which is working wonders for both the player as well as the team.
And now the Man United boss feels that Marcus Rashford has what it takes to overshadow Spurs striker Harry Kane.
“You can argue for many strikers, but I’m glad he’s in my team. Harry Kane is injured so maybe that gives [Rashford] a better chance to be the best one at the moment,” Solskjaer said.
“I’ve got to say no one beats him at his work rate, no one beats him on attitude and at the moment he’s very confident in front of goal.
“He finishes, he tries to shoot.
“He doesn’t think twice about it. He made the chance for Jesse [Lingard]. I can’t believe how Jesse didn’t score on that chance.
“So, at the moment I think he’s playing the best football in his career.”
Harry Kane picked up an ankle injury during Spurs’ 1-0 loss to Man United and the England captain is expected to be out for atleast two months.
The Spurs medical team have confirmed that Harry Kane will begin training only in early March meaning Marcus Rashford has plenty of time to stake the claim as England’s main front man for atleast the first half of 2019.
