Mason Mount has been having a stellar season for Chelsea and he once again put his name on the scoresheet this weekend as the Blues beat Everton 4-0.
So far this season, Mason Mount has played in 29 Premier League games for Chelsea scoring six goals and providing 5 assists but there have been fears over his future participation after the player seemed to have picked up a knock this weekend.
The youngster picked up a blow at the back of his knee following which he had to be replaced by Reece James in the 60th minute of the match. And immediately there were fears that he could be out for a really long time.
But speaking after the game, Mason Mount has shrugged off the rumours of the injury being too serious.
“I took a little knock, a knee in the back of my knee,” he said, as quoted. “It was precautionary to see how it was. But now, I feel fine and hopefully, in the next couple of days I will get treatment in and it will be fine.

“Speaking about it in the changing room afterwards, it is about time we scored a few goals at home, kept a clean sheen sheet and had a very dominant performance. It all came together today.
“I always see myself as a No8 because I like to do the other side of the game as well, not just going forward and attacking.
“I’ve played No10 throughout my career, I’ve always gone in between so I don’t mind now.”
Mason Mount has been one of the standout players for Chelsea and as per the latest reports, the player has been given treatment and should be fit in the next couple of days.
This will be a huge relief for Frank Lampard since the manager is already without the likes of N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek and next week Chelsea are up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
