Chelsea travel to Baku later this month to take on Arsenal in the Europa League final but it is certainly not a good time for Maurizio Sarri.

Maurizio Sarri took charge of the Blues last summer and despite making a series of big changes the Blues have struggled for the large part of the season.

And now it is being reported that Roman Abramovich is ready to sack the Italian manager even if the club goes on to win the Europa League.

As per the report, Abramovich feels that Maurizio Sarri has a strained relationship with the Chelsea fans which could lead to a very bad scenario next season.

As a result of this, the billionaire owner is not ready to take any chances and will show Sarri the door once the Europa League final is wrapped up.

This news has originated from Italy as we are still unsure as to how much truth it holds especially since a couple of months ago, English tabloids had been claiming that Maurizio Sarri had the backing of Abramovich despite everyone else wanting him out.

Moreover, the former Napoli boss was brought in to get back Chelsea into the Champions League next season and the Italian has achieved his first major goal at the club.

So, there is no strong reason for Roman Abramovich to sack Maurizio Sarri – especially if he manages to deliver the Europa League.

Maurizio Sarri has will have to work with the players he currently has given that there is a transfer ban on Chelsea for the next two transfer windows which means a lot of youngsters will get game time next season.

Having said this though, if the Chelsea boss does decide to sack Maurizio Sarri at the end of the season then the Italian will not have to wait for his next job.

As per the report, both Roma and Milan are ready to take him on board in case he leaves Stamford Bridge.
