Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was on the verge of getting sacked but after a couple of decent results, it seems that storm has passed.

But with games coming thick and fast, there is still a fair amount of doubt over the Italian’s long-term future at the club and many pundits still believe that Maurizio Sarri will be sacked before the end of the season.

After taking on Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League, the Blues will now head on to the Premier League this weekend where they take on Wolves.

And Maurizio Sarri has urged the Premier League to help out the teams who are playing in Europe.

“I think that, in this moment, we played six, seven or eight matches more than the other European teams, and eight matches mean two months with a match during the week,” said the Blues boss.

“Two months without training. So I think that, for an English team, it’s very difficult to be competitive in Europe in March, April or June. Really very, very difficult.

“This week we saw Real Madrid against Ajax. Ajax didn’t play a match in the Dutch championship in the last round, and Real came into that game after two matches against Barca.

“There is a big difference. I think the Premier League could do something more for the teams involved in European competitions.

“If you play in the Europa League in Italy, after the match away you can ask to play on Monday. One day more to rest.

“I think that’s really very important. For example, when we will play in the Premier League after 62 or 63 hours after the match against Dynamo Kiev. I think it’s too early.”

After taking on Wolves on Sunday, the Blues will travel to Kiev just four days later to take on Dynamo in the Europa League.
