Arsenal have lost both their opening matches of the new Premier League and will not play West Ham United this weekend who are in a similar boat to that of their London neighbours.
West Ham are also without a point post two games and going into the Arsenal clash, their manager Manuel Pellegrini might have been thinking of a draw as a much realistic outcome.
But now that Unai Emery’s problems have doubled over the course of the week, the Hammers will be hoping to pick up all three points at the Emirates.
Arsenal lost their first match against Manchester City and then lost to Chelsea but the major shocker during the Stamford Bridge clash was the fact that Aaron Ramsey was left out of the starting line up.
This decision from the boss had shocked a lot of people who felt that the Welshman was being made the scapegoat for an all-around bad performance during the opening weekend.
But leaving out Aaron Ramsey did not work too well for Unai Emery since his midfield looked as fragile against Chelsea and he eventually had to bring on the midfielder in place of Mesut Ozil.
Now before the West Ham game, Unai Emery has to make a decision – whether he plays with Ozil or with Ramsey.
Leaving out Aaron Ramsey could be catastrophe since the club is entangled with a contract negotiation with the player and not starting with him can send out all the wrong signals.
On the other hand, Mesut Ozil is without a doubt one of the most gifted players in that Gunners squad and has the ability to change the game in an instance.
While Unai Emery will be scratching his head over this dilemma, Pellegrini, on the other hand, should be loving this scenario since he more or less has a sorted midfield and all they have to do now is play as one single unit.
