Michael Olise Crystal Palace
Selhurst Park Crystal Palace

Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have already registered an interest in Palace’s Michael Olise and now, Tottenham Hotspur have also joined the bandwagon.

Olise has come off age this season, scoring five goals and one assist in nine Premier League games and there’s a big possibility that the right-winger is going to play for a top-six side next season.

Michael Olise did not join Chelsea in the summer, following which he signed a contract extension and under these fresh terms, the 22-year-old reportedly has a release clause of around £60 million.

Man United is ready to offer a cash-plus-player deal which will see Wan-Bissaka head to Selhurst Park but if there’s really a £60 million release clause then it won’t be a problem for them.

In fact, all the other interested clubs can very easily shell out the aforesaid amount during the summer window and in today’s market, a player like Michael Olise will be a very satisfactorily buy at £60m.

He would have played close to 100 games for Crystal Palace by the end of this season and if he can continue his fine form in front of goal until May then he will be courted by several other top European teams. In 677 minutes of league football, the winger has an xG of 3.0 and an xAG of 2.7.

However, regular game time will be a big point of concern for the French winger because at Palace, he’s a regular starter but at clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool, he will have to compete with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Mo Salah.

Not only the player but even Liverpool and Arsenal will have to think twice before spending £60-odd million on a backup option.

Spurs have Kulusevski who plays out on the right but Michael Olise can very easily challenge him so it will make sense if he chooses a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the Gunners or Merseyside.

For these three clubs, the Palace winger will be a slight gamble signing but for Manchester United, Olise’s move is a no-brainer. Antony has been a major flop this season and United are already out in the market looking for a new right-winger. In such a scenario, if Michael Olise is available for around £60m then Ten Hag won’t hesitate even one bit.
