West Ham United kicked off their Premier League campaign in the most disastrous way by losing 4-0 to Liverpool at Anfield.

And now Manuel Pellegrini will try to mend things by picking up his first competitive win as the Hammers manager when they take on AFC Bournemouth this weekend.

A number of players made their debut for the London outfit last weekend and many people believe that this is the primary reason why the Hammers were unable to play as a team against Liverpool.

But now that Pellegrini has got one more week to look through his squad hopefully West Ham will be able to pick up all three points against Bournemouth.

Former Liverpool and Man United striker Michael Owen also feels the same way and he has gone on to claim that fans will see a very different West Ham United side this Saturday.

Owen writing on his betVictor blog said: “Manuel Pellegrini will have another week to work with his new signings and I feel we will see a different Hammers’ side against the Cherries who got off to a winning start against Cardiff on Saturday,

“Expectation has been high for Pellegrini’s Irons and I think it would be folly to write them off after just one – albeit mediocre – performance.”

We totally agree with what Michael Owen has said simply because the fans were too early to pounce on their team – more so because Pellegrini’s team were being tested against Liverpool.

And now that the London outfit are up against the Cherries – that too at home, we feel that Pellegrini will be much more relaxed which should reflect on his players as well as their performances.
