Mikel Arteta had made a mixed start to his career as the new Arsenal manager but before he could set things straight, the current coronavirus pandemic forced all football to shut down globally.

And in a more personal battle, Mikel Arteta himself was tested positive with the virus but thankfully he has been able to come out of it without any damage.

Now with talks about the Premier League resuming soon, the Arsenal squad is planning to get back into training but according to their manager, he has a really tricky problem which needs to be solved before they get back onto the pitch.

“They have the equipment, they have all the necessary tools and guidance to try to keep themselves in the best possible shape,” Arteta told BT Sport, via Football London.

“But as well I was worried about the mental side, about the disconnection with football. I’ve been trying to give them work, to get to know them better.

“This is a good possibility when everybody is hurt and a little bit more open about what’s going on, to get into them a little bit, to understand how their families are, what they’re doing to take care of them, their relatives, how they feel at the club, how they feel with their team-mates.

“I want them to feel close to me, that they can trust me, tell me their feelings. We have a lot of people that live on their own, people that have family away.

“They need to feel protected a little bit, not just myself but the staff or the senior people at the club.”

There are a number of reports which claim the Premier League is set to play the remainder of their matches behind closed doors but that will only be possible sometime after the first week of June(in case the situation does not deteriorate).

And keeping in line with this news, most of the Premier League clubs are set to return back to training sometime next month.

Mikel Arteta has made it pretty clear about his plans during this current period but once the training resumes, the manager will have to move on to the most arduous task of getting his players back to match fitness as quickly as he can since the remaining matches could be played in a hurry.
